I tried it, it stuck well, then about a month later I checked and the tape was GLUED to my beautiful wall to wall carpet. It absolutely would not come off and seemed permanently melted into the carpet.To their very great credit, the seller company (I would give them 10 stars if I could) was very, very responsive, kind and tried to be helpful and make me happy when I complained. They immediately offered a refund, and not only that, something free from their catalogue. They gave their suggestions for removing the stuff: a hot hair dryer, and if that failed, Goo Gone. I had no hope at all that the hair dryer would get rid of this huge area of melted goo from my carpet, and the last thing I wanted to do was put a bunch of smelly oily Goo Gone in my carpet. I really thought replacing the new carpet would eventually be necessary.Well, silly me. Last night I actually tried the hair dryer trick. Oh, my goodness, it was like magic. Not only did the tape come off (it takes a few minutes, but progress was sure and steady), but when it did there was NO RESIDUE whatsoever! Perfect, like new carpet underneath. I couldn't believe it.Now I feel bad that they refunded by money and gave me a free item. But I will not hesitate to use this product again next time I was to put an area rug down on wall-to-wall carpet. Excellent customer service, excellent product. Don't be fooled by what it looks like once it adheres to your carpet. It WILL come off if you want it to.
